Post-Mitigation Reconstruction

Kitchens. Bathrooms. General Construction. Once your mitigation team has finished — water extraction, drying, remediation — we step in and rebuild it right. Refinish My Floors, LLC brings 30+ years of craftsmanship and a personal guarantee to every reconstruction project.

Maryland Home Improvement Licensed (#112416) • $1M Liability Insured • Serving Montgomery & Baltimore County

NOTE: We specialize in reconstruction, not mitigation.

Water extraction, structural drying, and mold remediation are handled by a mitigation company. We come in after — to put your home back together.

What We Rebuild

Three Divisions. One Trusted Team.

After the mitigation team clears your property, we take it from bare framing and subfloor back to a finished, beautiful home — kitchens, bathrooms, and everything in between

Kitchen Reconstruction

Once your mitigation team has cleared and dried the space, we step in to rebuild your kitchen from the ground up — cabinets, countertops, flooring, and all the finish work in between.

  • Cabinet removal & installation
  • Countertop & backsplash installation
  • Flooring integration & transitions
  • Subfloor repair & restoration
  • Post-damage reconstruction (after mitigation is complete)

Bathroom Reconstruction

After your mitigation contractor has finished remediation, we rebuild your bathroom back to its original condition — or better. Tile, flooring, vanity, trim, and all structural finishes.

  • Tile removal & new installation
  • Vanity & fixture rough-in support
  • Waterproofing membranes & cement board
  • Subfloor repair & leveling
  • Full post-remediation rebuild

General Construction

From interior framing and drywall to baseboards, trim, and finish carpentry — we handle the rebuild after damage has been properly mitigated, restoring your home to its pre-loss condition.

  • Interior framing & drywall
  • Baseboard & trim carpentry
  • Door & window casing
  • Post-damage structural rebuild
  • Insurance restoration scopes of work

OUR PROCESS

How It Works

Mitigation Comes First

We don't do mitigation — water extraction, drying, or mold remediation is handled by a licensed mitigation company. Once they've cleared the property and given the green light, that's our cue.

Free Reconstruction Assessment

We visit your property after mitigation is complete, assess the full scope of reconstruction needed, and provide a transparent, itemized estimate — typically within 24 hours.

Customized Rebuild Plan

We coordinate materials, timeline, and — if applicable — communicate directly with your insurance adjuster to align on the approved scope of work before a single nail goes in.

Expert Reconstruction & Guarantee

Our certified crews rebuild with the same craftsmanship behind every floor we've refinished. We don't close a job until you're satisfied — and if something isn't right, we come back.

Insurance Restoration

We Pick Up Where Mitigation Ends

Mitigation companies handle the emergency — water extraction, drying equipment, mold remediation. Once they hand you a clearance, that's when the real work begins: putting your home back together. That's where we come in.

We work directly with homeowners and their insurance adjusters to review the approved scope, provide accurate reconstruction estimates, and execute every phase of the rebuild with the craftsmanship and personal guarantee our clients have trusted for over 30 years.

Not sure who handles mitigation? We're happy to point you in the right direction — just give us a call

What We Rebuild After Mitigation

  • Kitchen cabinets, countertops & finishes
  • Bathroom tile, vanity & fixtures
  • Interior framing, drywall & trim
  • Baseboards, doors & window casing
  • Historic home permitting & reconstruction
  • Coordination with insurance adjusters on scope
